Beware My insurance company gave me a few dental offices to choose from in my area so I picked this one. My insurance company gives me two free cleanings a year so whenever I arrived, the meet and greet was excellent the kindness and the professionalism or strategic only to make sure that you were put in a position to be sold the extras like they do at a car dealership. Clearly you have one person that comes in there after they’ve taken pictures at the dentist has looked at your teeth to make recommendations on procedures that they would like to have done. And I kindly decline them and only stated clearly that I wanted my Cleaning that was free with my insurance company so just like a dealership, another person comes in and tries to upsell you the same thing again but this time clearly the young lady said that it’s not a recommendation it is a requirement to have done before I get the cleaning. I made her say that three times and at the end after I said so if I don’t get these extra stuff which added close to $600 I cannot get my cleaning we are done she said yes so I excuse myself and left got on the phone with my insurance company and made a formal complaint. First time visiting this dental office, and unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience. My appointment was scheduled for 9:00 AM, but I waited over two hours before being seen, also it’s fully occupied without even a seat for me to wait—and this was only for a routine dental cleaning. During the visit, the dentist told me that 5–6 teeth had cavities that needed treatment. This was extremely surprising, as I have regular dental checkups and cleanings, and my previous dentists have consistently confirmed that my teeth are healthy. After the appointment, I requested copies of my X-rays and signed a release form. I was told they would be sent within 7 days. It has now been over a month, and I still have not received them. To make matters worse, I later received a bill for services that I believed were fully covered by my insurance. The visit only included a preventive exam and cleaning, which my insurance covers at 100%. Overall, the long wait time, questionable diagnosis, lack of follow-through on my records request, and unexpected billing have left me with serious concerns about this office’s professionalism and transparency. Amazing staff and facility! I would highly recommend this office for all of your dental needs. The entire staff makes you feel at ease. The Dr. explains everything in detail and not once did I feel rushed. Thank you Ideal Dental for setting the standard high in Grand Prairie!

Y’all let me tell you!!!! Dr. Shakir??? Heather???? ULTIMATE DREAM TEAM. My dental insurance isn’t the best and yet they somehow managed to personalize a treatment plan catered to me and my needs from immediate to leisurely. Very friendly people. Very kind people. And what I genuinely appreciated the most out of all of these amazing qualities that they have is the fact that they were 110% honest with me. Dr. Shakir was transparent with me. He didn’t go to the most drastic treatment plan before exploring other options. He worked with me. He heard me out. He considered what I deemed important and utilized their clinical expertise. Heather, You took care of my brother throughout his own dental journey. He was the one that recommended me to you guys Knowing that y’all would do as a superb job looking out for each and every one of your patients…new or old. Thank you for proving him right. This was my first visit to Ideal Dental, and I had an excellent experience. The staff listened attentively to my concerns, thoroughly evaluated my dental hygiene, and provided the care I needed. They even scheduled a deep cleaning appointment for the very next day, ensuring I didn’t have to compromise on my health. Highly recommended.
